LEVERAGING INNOVATION

My journey in cultivating an innovation mindset has been a dynamic adventure, marked by notable milestones. Having a Growth MINDSET, and an openness to being new and not having all the answers helps you uncover and discover what could be.  Innovation occurred multiple times, with the most profound learning experiences revealed upon reflection.  Here's a snapshot in my personal journey.

Dynamic Innovation Journey:

  • Collaborated with Joe Hart to build InfoAlly, an eLearning company before eLearning was cool!
  • Emphasis on efficiency and agility in company creation
  • Utilized the Dale Carnegie Course to develop the Carnegie Action System early in the eLearning era

Lean Resource Challenges:

  • Building InfoAlly with lean resources sharpened strategizing, adaptability, and innovative solutions
  • Learned the power of VC's, their challenges and stresses
  • Cox Prosight- launched this IoT for healthcare startup within Cox
  • Explored uncharted territory in a newly created role – Business Activation
  • Deepened skills in navigating complex ecosystems and staying ahead in evolving industries
  • Learned the value of healthcare executives and how they're stretched and passionately caring and serving their teams in the midst of challenge and change

Embracing Career Transitions

Embarking on a career transition can be both exhilarating and challenging.


At each transition in my career, moving from the Director role to the VP position or from the VP to the Group VP role, my company provided me with an Executive Coach.


I never sought one out or quite frankly even thought of getting one.  The company provided it to me to help me make the transition into my new job.  Wow what a valuable asset to ignite and really enable a solid transition.  With each coaching experience, I learned the value of having a thought partner, a confident that would be my guide during this short duration of time. Incredibly valuable to help me be the best in my new role.


As I've transitioned out of a very successful 30+ year career, I thought long and hard about my next move and through nudging from my "board of directors" I'm now excited to help others as their Executive Coach.  My focus is on helping already successful leaders be even more successful.  Drawing on my own journey, which spans from navigating leadership roles in my 20s to reaching a pinnacle as the Senior Vice President of Fox Sports Net East in my 30s and later advancing to the position of Group Vice President at Cox Media in my late 40s, I understand the nuances and complexities of professional evolution and the power of Embracing the Change.


Whether you are the new boss, have a new boss or are on an leadership team, navigating the experience can be challenging.
